Visitors from Nebraska

At the beginning of June we visited our friends Brad, Kara, Braden and Luke in Nebraska and last week Kara and the boys stopped by our farm for a visit!  The four little boys were pretty excited to swap farm experiences and tractor rides were at the top of their farm must-do list.
Kara and I joked that it felt like Ben and the boys were in a parade during the tractor ride portion of the evening.

The kittens got some extra love that evening.

I suggested that the boys go dig "dinosaur" bones (cow bones, actually), so Levi decided he needed a hat and gloves.  Well, that meant both Noah and Levi had work gloves on and since we didn't have another pair of work gloves for Braden Levi brought him a pair of mittens to wear.  Braden wasn't so sure about wearing mittens when it was so hot outside and there was work to do.
We let the two of them work it out.
Luke hung around with us too, he just didn't do any digging because it's a messy job.
Digging in old silage is tough work but the boys had a great time with it.
They would have kept finding bones, but it was almost time for bed which meant we had to get three boys into the bathtub for a serious scrub.
It sure was fun to show the Janzen's around our farm!  Hopefully, they can come back again for more farm fun.
