Chicago

Traveling is a wonderful thing, and getting to go on a trip with Ben is a true treat.  My parents agreed to keep the boys at the farm so Ben and I could travel to Chicago.  Why a trip to Chicago in the middle of October?  Well, the Huskers are playing at Northwestern and so here we are.
The wind was blowing at 40+ mph when we left Wichita and rain drops were spitting from sky when we arrived in Chicago.
It never actually rained on us on Thursday but it did drizzle and mist for most of the afternoon and evening. Ben and I took the train from the O'Hare and zig-zagged our way downtown to Lia's office.  She kindly let us stash our luggage in her vehicle and then off we went to find dinner.
We ate at Reza's Grill, a fantastic Middle Eastern restaurant. We stuffed ourselves on hummus, flat bread, kabobs and salad. Delicious!
Then we headed back downtown to find a group of Husker fans that Ben knows. We visited with them at Timothy O'Tooles before meeting up with Lia for a ride to the apartment.  It was a long day, but a good one.
