June, 2019

Cousin Rylee came to watch Noah play basketball and Levi was happy for the distraction!

I work from home some in the summer months and being on the porch is my favorite.
Time to load up the cattle...

 Strawberry jam season
We got a pool! It's not huge but it feels like a luxury on a hot summer day!

 June means summer league basketball!

 Rodeo with Kreed

 Work with Fancy
We dropped Noah off for a week at Camp Mennoscah
Levi and I made homemade Cheese-It crackers

 and they were delicious!
We also made lasagna since Noah was gone and he doesn't like it.
A week went by pretty fast and suddenly it was time to get Noah back from camp

It is such a treat to have Lee and Mary Alice at church and in Goessel with us!
Some of the last sweet potatoes from the fall 2018 harvest, still tasted great in June!

Turns out growing broccoli is easy and delicious.
Time to get the braces off
 Looking good kiddo!

It quickly became clear that the pool could use a small deck, so Ben decided to make one!
From start to finish in one day! It's pretty amazing!

Summer league is exhausting, or at least that's how it looks :-)
The wheat harvest is underway which means planting is happening too. Forage sorghum going in the ground.
And yes, that is Noah at the wheel with Ben giving instruction.
And then Noah on his own...
Supper headed out to the field!

 Onion harvest!
And blueberry harvest! It was amazing to get so many yummy berries this year.
Noah learned how to drive grain cart for wheat harvest this year.

Levi and I went to ride along, it's a tight squeeze for three people in the cab!
Pool time - quietly floating is a dream.
Ben kept busy for days planting double-crop soybeans.
