Baby Shower

On Sunday we had a baby shower for my sister and her partner. Erica has less than 5 weeks to go until the baby arrives. Two of my aunts and I planned the shower for her and lots of family and friends attended. It was great to celebrate the upcoming birth! We went with a duck theme and it was nice. They got tons of great baby gear, not to mention yummy cake and punch!

A little of this, a little of that

Life is full and busy these days. Ben and I are both busy at work, Ben is super-busy officiating basketball nearly every night of the week, and I do my best to keep up with the boys at home in the evenings.

Levi has been walking for a long time now, but just recently it became his primary mode of transportation. He will walk before he crawls (usually) and he's mastering the skill of going from sitting to standing while holding an object.

Noah is busy growing up. He surprises me on a daily basis by how grown up he is.

Anyway, below are pictures and videos to show you a little of this, and a little of that.

Lots of pictures from our weekend

Winter was beginning to feel quite bleak. We had simply gotten into the routine of daily life and after a week or so, I realized I hadn't taken any photos. Here's a look at our weekend, in no particular order.

Christmas Eve 2008 Angel

I'm a little late with this, but these angels are pretty darn cute. It's a tradition at our church that the 2 and 3 year olds are angels. They make a brief, yet precious, appearance in the Christmas Eve program. Weeks and weeks of teaching and practicing go into their performance and their innocence always steals the show. The tradition is that they sing the first verse of "Away in a Manger" with actions. The congregation helps them sing the song and it's always interesting to see what they'll do.

Noah was an angel this year for the first time. He did a few of the actions, but mostly he stood there not singing and stared at all the people in the congregation. It was funny. And, now over a week later, he won't stop singing "Away in a Manger"!
