Wheat harvest spilled over into July, like it often does.
Levi and I had to go to KC for the MCUSA convention for my work. He was fascinated by the electric scooters all around downtown KC.We went to see two of my favorite groups - Lake Street Dive and the Avett Brothers.
As always, it was a magical night!
Levi was a huge help at the MCC learning activity the next day.
It turned out to be a long day of MCC work,
and we were thrilled to get cheeseburgers and fries at the end of the day!
We made the most of it -going to the City Market and then Top Golf.
We even ventured to the very top of our hotel to catch a beautiful sunset. Before we headed for home we dropped by the West Bottoms for some antiquing - a place I need to get back to without a kiddo along!
Our family enjoyed an entire box of peaches, what a summertime treat!
First ripe tomato
and lots more golf.
Thankfully summertime bring more opportunity to see family!
Ben's parents moved to Goessel!
Cousin Simon came for a summertime visit to celebrate Lee's 90th birthday!
Grandpa Schrag working on catching minnows.
Nearly all of the Hertzler cousins
Happy 90th Lee!!
Levi took weekly lessons for most of the summer with my cousin Kyle. He tried out trumpet for a little while, but then happily went back to trombone.
More golf
We took a quick weekend trip to KC with my sister and Rylee. Worlds of Fun for a day
then a morning at the college basketball experience before we headed for home.
Then the Janzen's dropped by for a quick visit!
Thankfully, my aunt and uncle's apple tree made lots of fruit this summer
we'll have applesauce to eat all winter!
