Warmer temps and more daylight have been a welcome change around the farm. We're spending more and more time outside, such a welcome change after the cold, dark months of winter.
Whenever Ben's feeding cattle, or pushing up feed, you can bet Harold will be right there with him.
Lately Levi's been telling me not to take his picture...but then he'll surprise me and sit patiently while I snap a couple photos. He likes to keep me on my toes.
I lucked out and got an entire day with Levi on Friday. The kindergarten class didn't have school while their teachers had kindergarten screening.
He played well on his own and was even a super-helper and vacuumed for me!
Then he decided we should take snacks out to the farmers and the construction crew. He filled plastic cups with popcorn and we delivered them around the farm. And then since we were already in the shed, we simply stayed out there to play.
The farmers were busy getting the planter ready to plant corn.
Levi turned the shed into a playground, keeping himself very busy.
It was fun to see what he'd come up with next.
I snapped photos, watched our roof trusses get delivered, marveled at the fact that our house was being built in front of my eyes...
all while this kid jumped
and had fun on whatever he could find.
Saturday morning we found ourselves back at the shed, but with Noah this time! The boys learned a lot about the drill press and even got to use it (under grandpa's careful supervision).
So pleased!
Harold was busy taking it all in and enjoying the sunshine.
Those shiny things are supposed to push the field residue (like the matted down wheat stubble from last summer) aside making space for the new seed to get sunshine and grow.
Levi found a play space just outside of Harold's reach.
What a fun time we had on Saturday morning hanging out in the shed, learning about the planter, helping to get it ready, enjoying the sunshine and spending time together.
