These six kittens are still alive. They're five weeks old and healthy - for the most part. Their fur isn't as full or healthy as it should be, but otherwise they seem fine. Sunday evening we brought them outside for the first time and after a quick ride in a bucket they were released to explore and get some exercise.
Grandma Chuckles gave them some loving licks and then pretty quickly disappeared. The kittens were very busy around our feet, but were much stronger and more steady on their feet than we had anticipated.
They know Ben is the one that brings them food. They swarmed around him even though he didn't have a bottle with him to feed them.
Speaking of feeding them....we're trying to get them to drink from a bowl and eat cat food. It's painfully slow-going and our patience is wearing thin.
Just before it was time to head inside I caught Noah simply sitting in the driveway.
These photos make me smile. Sometimes Noah and I are so much alike that we have a hard time getting along. These photos do my heart a lot of good.
That's how Caiden and I are a lot of the time - so alike that we don't get along. Chelan can only say, "You two . . ."
ReplyDeleteDoug says the same thing about Addi and me! Also - You can give kittens/cats hard boiled eggs to help with protein and their coats of fur - that's what my Grandma Schmidt always did when she had chickens and she was certain it helped shine up their fur!
