Halloween

Halloween - potentially one of my least favorite days of the year - wasn't actually THAT bad. I was cranky about it - the hassle, the hyper kids, the expectations - but we made it and it turned out just fine.
First stop after school was Bethesda's Halloween Carnival. There were lots of fun games and activities for the kids and lots of candy for prizes.
The ring toss is probably their favorite because you get a 2-liter bottle of pop as a prize.

My grandma, who lives at Bethesda, was among the residents taking in the action. She was certainly looking festive with the black cat painted on her face. :-)
Next stop was Aunt Karen and Uncle Duane's house.
The boys know where cousin Braden hides his stash of costume paraphernalia and immediately embellished their football outfits.

After that, we headed to church for dinner. Afterwards, the kids went on a hay rack ride and had a Trunk-or-Treat event at church put on the by the high school youth group.
Phew! Another Halloween complete. Thank goodness.
