Every weekday morning, I wake Noah up at 6:30. He doesn't like waking up and most mornings it's a real hassle to get him out the door by 7. But on Monday, he actually spent some time smiling at me. That makes for a lovely way to start the day.
Now, on to football. Noah's had three out of four flag football sessions in Goessel. It's organized by the rec commission and led by the high school coaches and players. The kids are divided into groups to work on specific basic skills in stations. Levi loves to come along because then he gets to play with his friends.
They worked on passing, kicking, tackling and blocking.
And then they got the flags out!
The following series of photos cracks me up. Noah was up on the offensive line, the ball got hiked,
all the action went right through the o-line because none of the boys successfully blocked the defense.
The ball is far away from him, but Noah is still standing in the exact same place he started.
And he never moved...still standing in the same spot - watching the action. :-)
I'm thankful for Noah's enthusiasm for all sports, including football. I'm also thankful for the coaches and high school players that give time and energy to teach the young boys the basics of the game. The only trouble with Noah's new skills is it means that he's a lot harder on me when we play football in the backyard.
